How Earth Resistance Measurement Works (Multiple Earthing System):

In a multiple earthing system, the earth resistances of various grounding points (R1, R2…Rn) are effectively connected in parallel. The combined resistance (Rs) of these parallel paths is significantly smaller than the individual earth resistance being measured (Rx). The Kyoritsu 4200 injects a constant voltage (V) into the grounding system via the current injection transformer (CT1) and measures the resulting current (I) using the detection transformer (CT2). By applying Ohm’s law (Rx = V/I), the instrument calculates and displays the earth resistance of the clamped conductor.
