PB331 is a slave station communication chip of POWERBUS technology. POWERBUS is a low-voltage power supply bus technology. By modulating the control signal on the power supply cable, it replaces the traditional separate control cable and power supply cable and greatly improves the communication stability. POWERBUS adopts the method of voltage transmission and current signal return, which provides high communication anti-interference ability. PB331 can adapt to various wires used in the field and realize the function of long-distance communication. Cables can be laid in any way such as bus, tree or star, which greatly facilitates construction and wiring, and can prevent wrong connections and simplify construction and maintenance. PB331 can meet the needs of equipment power supply and communication through POWERBUS bus.

RS-485 is a differential signal standard. Traditional RS-485 systems use at least four wires to simultaneously transmit signals and power: two wires for differential RS-485 signals, and two wires for power and ground. The weight and cost of these long cables increase system complexity and installation costs. Due to the use of multiple wires, there is a risk of system failure if the connection is incorrect, which further increases the complexity of the system.
Fortunately, when designing the RS-485 interface, the four-wire solution is no longer the only option.


Powerbus can be campatible with RS-485 by MODBUS-RTU, no need update program. transmit signal and power over same 2 wires from master to slaves . non-polarized ,topology free , no need end line resistors . 12v-48vDC input , supports max 20A output on BUS , 1A on each slave node. half-duplex ,2400-9600bps .
