For CH224K, the input voltage on CFG2/CFG3 cannot be higher than 3.7V. For CH224D, the input voltage on CFG2/CFG3 cannot be higher than 5V.
In scenarios where back-end circuits, such as MCUs, exhibit slow startup or MCU pins default to a specific state, the CFG1 pin on the CH224K/CH224D may remain in a floating state or IO configuration mode until the MCU becomes operational. This could potentially trigger a 20V request. To mitigate this, if the system cannot tolerate a 20V input, it’s advisable to add a configuration resistor to the CFG1 pin. This ensures that the CH224K/CH224D can request an appropriate voltage by configuring the resistor before the MCU initialization process begins.
