PCB For I2C 4-20mA Generator Module

Description

Overview

The GP8212S-TC50-EW 4–20mA Current Generator Module is a compact, I2C-controlled analog output board designed for applications requiring a standard 4–20mA industrial current loop signal. The module operates from a 5V supply and includes an onboard MT3608 boost converter to generate the higher voltage required by the GP8212S-TC50-EW.

The PCB module can be controlled directly through an I2C interface, making it suitable for use with microcontrollers, PLCs, Arduino boards, ESP32, STM32, and other embedded systems.

Key Features

  • GP8212S-TC50-EW current output controller
  • 4–20mA analog current output
  • 5V DC power input
  • Onboard MT3608 boost converter generates approximately 12V for the GP8212S-TC50-EW
  • I2C-controlled output
  • Onboard 4.7kΩ I2C pull-up resistors

  • Other I2C-compatible microcontrollers and control systems

Power Supply

The module is designed to operate from a 5V DC supply. An onboard MT3608 boost converter increases the supply voltage to approximately 12V, providing the required higher-voltage rail for the GP8212S-TC50-EW current-output circuitry.

Applications

  • Industrial automation
  • PLC analog output expansion
  • Process control
  • Sensor and transmitter interfaces
  • Industrial instrumentation
  • 4–20mA test equipment
  • IoT and remote-control systems
  • Microcontroller-to-industrial-equipment interfaces
  • Laboratory and development projects

What’s Included

  • 1 × GP8212S-TC50-EW 4–20mA Current Generator Empty Bare PCB Board (all Components Sold separately )

Notes

  • 5V DC power is required for module operation.
  • The 4–20mA output is controlled through the I2C interface.
  • The module includes onboard I2C pull-up resistors.
  • Actual output performance, compliance voltage, accuracy, and load capability depend on the GP8212S-TC50-EW device specifications and the connected current-loop load.
