The AMS1117-3.3 is a fixed 3.3 V LDO regulator capable of supplying up to 1 A (in optimal conditions). It is designed to convert higher input voltages down to 3.3 V with relatively low dropout, and includes protections like thermal shutdown and current limit. It is available in several packages including SOT-89
