Today we will learn how to build and make an Arduino based platform on breadboard using only the ATMEGA328 chip with some passive components and our multifunction breadboard AVR programmer and power supply Module let start with the
Components list:
- ATMEGA328 Chip (empty or preprogrammed with uno bootloader ).
- 16MHZ crystal oscillator.
- 33pF ceramic capacitor x2.
- 10K,1K resistances.
- LED (will be connected to D13 pin)
- Bread board with any suitable size available at your hand.
- Breadboard AVR Programmer. Module ( you can buy it from this link).
- Some jumper wires for connecting the above components together .
you can download this file and print it on plain paper then glue it over the ATMEGA328 chip so you can use this as a simple and quick pinout diagram reference to make the connections very clear and fast
Now we will put the chip on the breadboard and start connecting the components , please check the below images to get close view how to finish this step
check the connections between the ATMEGA and our programmer ” be sure you turn on the ISP Mode“
Now open the arduino IDE then write your code then from Sketch Menu Select > Upload using programmer
or just type “Cntrl + Shft + U ” shortcut to start programming the sketch into the breadboard Arduino chip
if the connections has made correctly the uploading process should be finished without any errors
